A Research on Netspeak from Sociolinguistic Perspective
Abstract
Recent years have seen the popularity and prevalence of a new form of language, which is defined as Netspeak, in the wake of the fast technological development of the computer and the internet. Not only in the Internet but also in our daily life, Netspeak is used by more and more people. This new linguistic phenomenon has aroused most concern from the society and people. It has also provided a new field for research in linguistic. This thesis makes a study on Netspeak from the sociolinguistic perspective.
Based on a large number of Netspeak expressions in English and Chinese available, Netspeak is discussed in three respects: lexicon, phonology and grammar, in detail. Because Netspeak has its advantages and disadvantages and people hold different attitude towards it, people’s attitude towards Netspeak are also explored in the thesis.

摘 要
由于計(jì)算機(jī)和因特網(wǎng)技術(shù)的迅速發(fā)展,近年1種新形式語(yǔ)言正流行開(kāi)來(lái)，這就是網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言。這種新語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象引起了社會(huì)和人們的關(guān)注。在日常生活中，特別是在使用計(jì)算機(jī)和因特網(wǎng)時(shí)，為了方便和快捷，這種語(yǔ)言逐漸被人們所接受。同時(shí)，網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言也為語(yǔ)言研究提供了1個(gè)新領(lǐng)域。本文嘗試從社會(huì)語(yǔ)言學(xué)角度分析網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言。并具體從詞匯、音韻、語(yǔ)法3個(gè)方面探析網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言的特征。而且本文也分析了網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn)及人們對(duì)網(wǎng)絡(luò)語(yǔ)言的態(tài)度。
